Alpha v0.4


Changelog for Alpha v0.4:

Major changes:

  • 2 New enemies:
    • Tower Goober: 1hp, slow, will shoot from a distance
    • Bomb Goober: 1hp, really fast, runs and does massive damage
  • 2 New upgrades:
    • Spikes: chance to do 1 damage to any enemie that tries to attack the tower
    • Shield: More health, will not refill on round end, you will have to buy it again
  • New coin type, Gooberite: You earn it after the game ends based on the amount of goobers killed. It is used to buy stuff in the main menu
  • Powerups: You can buy chests for gooberite and unlock them to get powerups. You activate them before starting a game for a buff
    • 2x Coin powerup: doubles the coins earned on the next game
    • Skip to round 5 powerup: will skip to round 5 and give 100 coins to the player (200 if the 2x coin powerup is used)
  • Permanent tower upgrades: You can upgrade your tower permanently on the main menu using Gooberite
    • Laser upgrade: Consumes less battery and the laser hit area is bigger

Minor changes:

  • Changed appearance of the Formal Goober and Chad Goober
  • Added an exit button on the main menu for PC
  • Changed appereance of the tower:
    • Battery meter is now inside the tower and is not an Ui element
    • The battery meter and the coil on the tower changes appereance based on the level of battery and shockwaves
  • Flashing red light on low battery
  • Shockwaves now activate even on a miss but 2 level reduced
  • Added shadows for Goobers
  • Added effects on Goober death and tower damage

Bugfixes:

  • Difficulty resets when loading save
  • Shop level indicator jumping from 0 to 2 on some items

This is a huge update, i'm preparing the game for a release, expect maybe only one more alpha until i start pouring out pre-releases on here
